Noam Galai was born in Jerusalem in 1984.
From a very young age he travelled extensively with his family in North America and Europe, trips that were recorded in many photos and video movies.
While in highschool, Noam became more deeply interested in photography, purchasing better photography equipment and engaging in different projects.
Photography was coupled with another interest of Noam in computer technologies and especially in web design and computerised editing capabilities.
Noam designed and developed many web sites, including web sites for photographers.
As an avid basketball fan, Noam started to photograph sports events, especially games of Maccabi Tel Aviv. Noam's photographs have appeared in Maccabi's official website as well as in leading Israeli, American, and European news sites. He is one of the designated photographers of the fan club of Maccabi, taking active part in the its publications and media outreach.
During recent years, Noam has photographed large sporting events in Europe, including two European Championships (Final Four games) in Prague 2006 and Athens 2007. In 2007 Noam photographed the games of the NY Liberty team in the WNBA.
Noam's photos of the Steampipe Explosion in NYC in July 2007 appeared on CNN. His photos of this event, as well as others, were acquired by various well-known media companies (Click here to see the list of publications).
Noam has taken photography courses at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
